FAQ
What is Wooobe?
Wooobe is a wooden dovetail building system inspired by traditional woodworking joinery.
- No glue
- No nails
- No plastic
Just beautifully crafted wooden blocks that fit together through precise dovetail joints — allowing you to build, take apart, and rebuild endlessly.
It’s not just about making something.
It’s about enjoying the process.
Who is Wooobe for?
Wooobe is for:
- Creative adults who enjoy hands-on experiences
- Designers, makers, and builders
- Parents who want meaningful activities with their kids
- Anyone who wants to slow down and reconnect with real materials
Recommended age:
- 12+ with adult supervision for tools
- Younger kids can enjoy simple stacking with guidance
Do I need woodworking experience?
Not at all.
Wooobe is designed for beginners:
- Simple starter models
- Step-by-step instructions
- Easy-to-learn connection system
- Mistakes can always be fixed
If you can tap gently with a hammer, you can build Wooobe.
How do I start building?
We recommend this simple flow:
- Prepare your workspace
A flat, stable table works best. - Start with Model “0”
This is the easiest model and helps you learn the system. - Sort your blocks
Open one bag at a time and group by shape. - Follow the instructions slowly
Gentle taps. No rushing. - Refine your build
Tap small gaps, sand rough edges, apply wax oil (optional). - Display your creation
Your build deserves to be seen.
How do the blocks connect?
Wooobe uses a dovetail joint system:
- Blocks slide into each other
- No glue or screws needed
- Firm and stable connection
- Easy to disassemble
Golden rule:
Less insertion = less breakage
Always insert blocks vertically and gently.
Is it safe?
Wooobe uses real tools, not toys.
Please follow these safety tips:
- Some tools have sharp edges
- Always keep fingers away from joints
- Tap slowly and carefully
- Children under 12 should not use tools
- Children 12+ must be supervised
Safety allows creativity to stay fun.
What if I make a mistake?
That’s part of the journey.
Wooobe is designed to be:
- Reversible
- Repairable
- Forgiving
You can:
- Disassemble vertically
- Separate blocks horizontally
- Remove broken parts
- Rebuild as many times as you want
Mistakes are how builders learn.
Why do some blocks look different in color or texture?
Because they’re made from real wood 🌳
We use:
- European beech
- North American black walnut
Natural materials mean:
- Unique grain patterns
- Slight color variations
- Occasional natural marks
These are not flaws — they are the wood’s story.
Can I design my own models?
Absolutely.
Wooobe is an open system.
You can:
- Start from 2D designs
- Build 3D structures
- Create modular components
- Add accessories and tools
Your imagination is the only limit.
How are the blocks labeled?
Example: #15-2-3
- 15 → Block shape
- 2 → Height (cm)
- 3 → Quantity needed
Once you build a few models, reading labels becomes intuitive.
What if blocks keep breaking?
This usually means a joint is slightly oversized.
Solution:
- Use a spare block
- Gently trim the joint
- Avoid forcing connections
Protect the rest of your build by replacing problem pieces early.
Why does Wooobe feel different from normal toys?
Because Wooobe is not about speed.
It’s about:
- Focus
- Patience
- Touch
- Craft
- Creation
It’s a hands-on ritual, not just a product.
